When we were growing up we were taught to pray the Lords’ prayer daily knowing it covered everything. Most people do not understand the Lords’ prayer, although they pray it daily so it becomes repetitious.
We prayed the Lords’ prayer every morning with our children desiring the perfect will of the Lord to come to pass in our family’s life. We know the kingdom is within us so we need the kingdom to come to pass in each of our spirits.
After we prayed the Lords’ prayer we would pray what we felt we needed to declare for our family. Sometimes we had to declare something, take authority over something, rebuke something, or quote a scripture with a declaration There were some things we prayed daily for months and some we did not pray often it was according to how we were led by the Holy Spirit.
Here are some examples that you can pray as you feel led. These are not to take the place of your intercessory prayer time or when you are praying for a specific need (salvation, deliverance, healing,… ). They are examples of how you can make declarations over you or your family using the word of God.
Never allow any prayer to become repetitious as then it means nothing to you. As you pray unto the Lord let it come from your heart. Feel the pain, victory, or love with faith believing what you pray each time you pray.
Lord it is written in Proverbs 2:6 “For the Lord giveth Wisdom; out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding”. I pray you bless (state the names) with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
I pray as it is written in Psalms 91:1 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways”. That you give the angels charge over each one of us protecting us from any evil or harm that would try to come against us.
In Romans 8:14 it is written “For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. Lord I pray you lead (state the names) in each step we take that we might go in the direction you have chosen for us and not fall into any trap that the devil would try to get us to walk in.
For as it is written in II Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”. I pray you teach (state the names) how to use the power you have given to each of us so we will become more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, having sound mind all the days of our lives.
Lord touch each of our hearts that we will have a true love and compassion for other people seeing what you see in them, as it is written in I John 4;7 “Beloved, let us love one another; for love is God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God".
Lord Jesus teach (state the names) how to please you and do your will so our enemies will be at peace with us as it is written in Proverbs 16: 7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him”.
Put your commandments in our hearts and help us to keep each one of them so that (state the names) will have long life with peace as it is written in Proverbs 3:1-2 “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments; for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to the”.
Lord Jesus anoint (state the names) to hold our tongue and yet speak with boldness when we should as it is written in James 1:19 “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath”.
Lord Jesus as it is written in Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”. I declare (state the names) walk in perfect health as when you were on the cross the stripes on your back made it possible.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”. As it is written in Psalms 37:4 I pray Lord Jesus help (state the names) to delight ourselves in you, teach and anoint us daily to be pleasing unto you. Lord put the desires in our hearts that line up with your perfect will for each of our lives and if there are any desires in any one of our hearts that do not line up with your perfect will for us, please take them from our heart.
Lord it is written in III John 1:2 “ Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. Bless us to grow spiritually, help (state the names) to seek you, walking in your will that we may be in perfect health, prospering all the days of our lives.
I pray Jesus that you will supply all our needs, not letting us lack for anything, that we would never have to beg for bread nor borrow yet have plenty in abundance to be the lender as it is written in Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in Glory by Christ Jesus”.
Lord we pray that we will be able to leave a spiritual as well as prosperous inheritance for our children and grandchildren, that we will obtain the sinners wealth for your kingdom being able to reach many souls and not being limited by cost as it is written in Proverbs 12:22 “ A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just”.
Lord Jesus I bind and rebuke the spirit of poverty and declare prosperity over (state the names) all the days of our lives. I bind and rebuke sickness, infirmities, deceases, infections, abnormalities, allergies, acne, viruses, colds, arthritis and plagues. I declare perfect health and long life upon each one of us all the days of our lives, declaring the word with the authority you have given to me in the name of Jesus Christ as it is written in Matthew 16:19 “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and what so ever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven".
Lord Jesus Christ I give you all the praise and Glory. Your word is good and true. I stand on your word knowing you will always keep your word as you never fail on any promise. What you said in your word I know I can stand on trusting you will surely do it and never doubt as it is written in I Kings 8:56 “Blessed be the Lord…there hath not failed one word of all his good promise".
Glory, Glory, Glory to thy name Jesus Christ. I will always give you all the glory and honor for all thou has done in my life and the lives of all the people I have prayed for seeing those prayers answered and all of us becoming victorious.
